My name is Jerry Norris I am an artisan from Independence, Missouri. I create handmade one of a kind unique items. Heartland Folk Art Studio is located in the farmlands of north eastern Independence. I am a member if the Ioway tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. So my work has an American Indian and country feel.
. My wife Terry Lynne (of 43 years) and I traveled doing art shows and fairs around the US for many years. On August 22 2011 I had a stroke, which has shut us down doing shows. My gourd planters are hand painted and hand cut vinyl designs, I grow my own gourds
